SFT Expands Across Two Continents with Events in Tahiti and Morocco

The Surf Foil World Tour is in full swing as two major international events launch simultaneously this week — one in the heart of the Pacific and the other along the coastline of North Africa.

From the crystal-clear waters of Tahiti to the flatwater racing venue of Marchica Lagoon, the global foiling community comes together once again as the SFT Foil World Cup Tahiti, part of the Tahitian Foil Festival, and the SFT E-Foil World Cup Morocco officially begin. The two events highlight not only the continued growth of the Surf Foil World Tour, but also the incredible diversity within modern foiling — from traditional ocean-based disciplines to the rising world of high-speed electric racing.

Tahiti Welcomes the Surf Foil World Tour

For the first time, the Surf Foil World Tour heads to Tahiti as part of the multi-day Tahitian Foil Festival, delivered in partnership with Armstrong Foils and the Tahitian Foil Club. The event brings together riders, brands, local communities, and international athletes in one of the most iconic water sports destinations on the planet.

The Tahiti stop features four SFT disciplines:
Downwind Foil
Pump Foil
Wake Foil
Surf Foil

Set against the backdrop of Polynesian landscape, culture, and world-famous ocean conditions, the event blends competition with lifestyle and community. More than just a contest, the Tahitian Foil Festival celebrates the spirit of foiling and the growing global movement surrounding the sport. Athletes from around the world have traveled to Tahiti to compete, train, and experience a destination long respected for its deep connection to the ocean.

High-Speed E-Foil Racing at Marchica Lagoon, Morocco

At the same time, the focus shifts to Morocco where the SFT E-Foil World Cup returns to the spectacular waters of Marchica Lagoon. Known for its calm conditions and stunning setting, Marchica provides the perfect stage for elite e-foil racing. Riders will battle head-to-head in high-speed competition that continues to push the evolution of electric foiling forward. The Morocco stop represents another important step in the rapid rise of e-foil competition within the Surf Foil World Tour calendar, showcasing innovation, accessibility, and performance in one of the fastest-growing disciplines in watersports.

A Growing Global Foiling Community

Hosting events simultaneously across two continents reflects the momentum building around the Surf Foil World Tour and the broader foiling community. What began as a new platform for multiple foil disciplines has quickly evolved into a truly international tour — connecting riders, organizers, brands, and fans through a shared passion for progression, adventure, and life on the water.

From Tahiti to Morocco, the message is clear: foiling continues to grow, and the community behind it is growing together.

Stay tuned for highlights, results, and behind-the-scenes coverage throughout the week as both events unfold.
