The 2025 SFT E-Foil World Cup at the Water Festival in Sicily delivered two days of world-class efoil action, electrifying energy, and unforgettable competition as thousands of spectators lined the beach to witness one of the most exciting showcases in the sport of e-foiling to date.

With a compact course set just meters from shore, fans had a front-row seat to every turn, overtake, and celebration. The technical track, featuring tight 180-degree turns, demanded precision, speed, and strategy from each rider.

International athletes from the USA, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Finland, and Switzerland converged on Isola delle Femmine for the headline event. Among the stacked field, all eyes were on American Justin Chait—widely considered the favorite—but victory didn’t come easy.

After two intense time trials that determined race seeding, the field entered thrilling head-to-head knockout rounds. In the final, Chait faced off against Spain’s Michael Verkoelen on a mirrored dual-lane course. Justin claimed the first run, but a missed buoy in the second round forced a decisive showdown. Digging deep, Chait surged ahead in the final stretch, narrowly edging out Verkoelen to claim the top podium spot.

Lift Foils, the event’s main foil gear sponsor, brought global attention and high-level riders to the race, showcasing just how far the sport—and the tech—have come. The event served as a landmark moment for e-foiling’s rapid rise in the world of competitive watersports.
