ATLANTA FOIL FEST SFT WORLD CUP 2025
13 - 15 June, 2025
The SFT E-Foil World Cup lit up Lake Lanier Olympic Stadium on June 13–14 as part of the Atlanta Foil Fest, drawing 14 international riders and a passionate crowd for a full day of high-speed, technical racing. With $4,000 on the line, athletes navigated a tight 12-buoy course designed to push the limits of balance, cornering, and control.
The event kicked off with a fun, no-pressure E-Foil Enduro Race—a 10km challenge circling Lake Lanier Island. More about bragging rights than points, the race showcased speed, maneuverability, and battery endurance, with Justin Chait taking the win and setting the tone for a dominant day on the water.
Next came the World Cup main event. Riders had two laps during time trials to post their fastest time and secure seeding for the head-to-head elimination rounds. The action intensified as speeds exceeded 25 mph, with the crowd lining the shore to cheer on every tight turn and clean pass.
The final came down to a 'Florida Man' showdown between Justin Chait (Naples) and Jacob Ranney (Miami). After a false start by Jacob, the second run delivered an all-out sprint across the mirrored course. Chait held his line with precision and pace to claim the top podium spot.
In the mini-final, Colin Guinn bounced back after a fall in earlier rounds to face off against Brian Grubb, one of the sport’s most respected names. Guinn stayed composed and powered through to take third place, earning redemption and a spot on the podium.
A special shoutout goes to Morgan Leason, the only female competitor, who braved the male-dominated field and showed determination and skill in every round—paving the way for more women to enter the sport.
