SFT Pump Foil World Cup Heats Up at Atlanta Foil Fest – Final Results are in

The SFT Pump Foil World Cup brought two days of exciting, edge-of-your-board action to the first-ever Atlanta Foil Fest, held at the scenic Lake Lanier Olympic Park. Organized by the Surf Foil Tour World Tour (SFT) in collaboration with local and international partners, the event showcased the next wave of pump foil talent and energy to a growing Southeast U.S. fanbase.

Friday kicked off with individual time trials, where each rider had three attempts to clock their fastest time. The top times set the seeding for Saturday’s elimination rounds, with Edan Fiander (SUI), Brady Hurley (USA), and Gage Schoenherr (USA) leading the pack.

Saturday’s format featured head-to-head races, with athletes going best-of-three on a technical course. Riders needed to win two races to advance, and if both fell before completing a run, a re-race was issued—bringing drama, intensity, and strategy into every round.

The men’s final saw Brady Hurley and Edan Fiander go head-to-head in a fierce matchup. In the opening heat, Edan’s fall near the final buoy triggered a chain reaction that took both riders down. After a judges' meeting, the final was reset with three fresh heats. Brady powered through the next two races with clean turns and strong pacing, locking in the win as Edan fell on the last buoy.

In the mini final, Gage Schoenherr outlasted Ozzie Kroop after several intense runs to claim third overall.

The women’s competition was a standout moment for the event, with young Ansley Pritchard of Atlanta taking on Katrin Kolo of Switzerland. Ansley grabbed the lead early in Race 1 and held her line to the finish. Katrin’s fall in Race 2 gave Ansley a clear victory and a proud win in front of her home crowd.
